Exhibitions May 19 - July 15, 2023Opening Reception May 19th 6-9PMThe Art of Intentional Living is a carefully curated collection of functional art pieces from various artists, makers, designers and healing arts facilitators to create a multi-sensory experience with the purpose of inviting sacred ritual into your everyday movements and interactions.
In this collection you will discover an array of holistic personal care items, homewares, textile fashion, bespoke pottery and more. You'll find gemstone mala jewelry and botanical items from my own creations at MURANA Studios, in connection with nature and your personal shift of seasons. Between May 19 and July 16, there will be various workshops scheduled within The Bindery that expands on this idea of living a life of intention, inviting a deeper connection to Self, our community and with nature. On display in the Community Gallery. Art lovers in Lafayette are in for a treat with the upcoming art show at the Bindery Artist Studios. The show will feature the works of artists Shelley Hermes and James Werner.
Shelley will be showcasing her impressive body of work created through her studies at the Lafayette Atelier’s classical drawing program. In addition to her traditional drawings and realistic and abstract paintings, she will also be exhibiting a series of breathtaking landscapes inspired by her travels to Joshua Tree National Forest. Meanwhile, James is set to display an array of both old and new portraits, as well as other representational drawings and paintings he has done over his 25 year long career painting in Lafayette.
