Trudie Gruber is beginning her second career as an artist. She taught for 22 years in public education. Having taken courses at the John C. Campbell Folk Art School in Brasstown, NC, Trudie is currently focusing on small watercolor painting. She is especially interested in using watercolor pencil to enhance detail and color intensity. She also plans to study and practice other art forms, such as, acrylics, clay pottery and sculpture, and other forms of functional art. The Bindery Artist’s Studio offers her the unique space needed to focus on creating without the distractions that can take away from the process while working at home. Trudie is excited to be involved in the artist community in Lafayette as she moves from her hometown of Morocco, IN to West Lafayette.
